Making a Payment (Payers)

    Making a Payment through DepositLink

    • Step 1: You will receive an email from the agent to Pay This Request Now.
      • Click the link in the email when you are ready to submit the payment.
    • Step 2: Verify your information and click Continue.
      • Enter your contact information.
      • Create a password.
      • Read and agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policies.
      • Click Continue again to move forward.
    • Step 3: Connect a bank account using one of the following options:
      • Plaid: Allows you to connect to your financial institution instantly using your online banking credentials.
      • GIACT: Allows you to connect to your financial accounts instantly by entering
        your bank account and routing number.

    • Step 4: Review & Confirm the information you are submitting.
      • Review all information added is correct.
      • Click Send Payment.
      • Then click Send Payment again to confirm.
    • Step 5: Success!
      • The payment will now move into a Pending status.
      • The company and agent that was added will both receive a notification that the payment was submitted.*
      • Notifications will be sent as the status of the payment updates.
      • You can download or forward a copy of your PDF receipt from this page.

    *A PDF receipt will be attached to the email notification that is sent to the company and agent. 

    Deal Notification Schedule

    Automatic payment reminder emails will be sent on the following schedule:

    • 24 hours before the deal expires.
    • 8 hours before the deal expires.
    • 1 hour before the deal expires.

    Making a Payment to a Title Company 

    DepositLink Pay is a one-click secure payment solution designed to take the complexity out of real-estate transactions. Clients can make digital payments in minutes with no cost to brokers, agents, landlords, title companies, or attorneys.

    • Step 1: Go to the brokerage or agent's custom DepositLink Pay page.
      • If required, search for your agent and select from the dropdown.
    • Step 2: Select a Sale or Rental.
    • Step 3: Enter the property address associated with the payment and click Continue.
      • As you start to type the address, the system auto-fills available addresses.
      • If your address is not available, use the Manual Entry option.
    • Step 4: Enter your email address and click Continue.
    • Step 5: Verify your information and click Continue.
      • Enter your contact information.
      • Read and agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policies.
      • Click Continue again to move forward.
    • Step 6: Enter the amount of the deposit, add a memo (optional), and click Continue.
    • Step 7: Connect a bank account using one of the following options:
      • Plaid: Allows you to connect to your financial institution instantly using your online banking credentials.
      • GIACT: Allows you to connect to your financial accounts instantly by entering
        your bank account and routing number.

    • Step 8: If everything looks correct, click Send Payment.
    • Step 9: You have successfully sent the payment!

    An email will be sent to you and your agent to show that the payment is in a pending status. Both you and your agent will continue to receive email notifications as the payment moves to Funds Arriving and then to Cleared.

    *A PDF receipt will be attached to the email notification that is sent to the company and agent. 

    Troubleshooting Payment Issues (Payers)

    Sometimes, payments may require additional verification or support. Below are common situations and what to do next.

    • Transactions over $50,000
      Payments above this threshold require additional verification before they can be processed.
    • Sender Restricted
      The account attempting to send funds has been temporarily restricted. This can happen for a variety of reasons related to verification or account activity.
    • Payment Failure
      A payment may not complete due to issues with the connected bank account or transfer attempt.

    DepositLink will work with our payment providers to resolve issues, but some steps may also require action from your bank or your real estate agent.

    • If your bank has placed a hold or block, you’ll need to contact them directly to remove it.
    • If your payment delay impacts your transaction timeline, please also work with your agent to request any needed extensions.
    This ensures funds flow smoothly and avoids delays in closing.
