Sending Payments (Admins)

Sending a Payment to Anyone 

For existing deals, skip to Step 7.

  • Step 1: Go to the Deals tab.
  • Step 2: Find the Deal and click View.
  • Step 3: Click Send Payment
  • Step 4: Start on the Deals tab, and click the Send Payments button.
  • Step 5: Enter the property address related to the payment.
    • If the property address already exists, select that property.
    • If this is for a new deal, select Create New Deal.
  • Step 6: Enter the Deal Information.
    • Select the office this deal is for.
    • Select “I am the agent” or the agent this deal is related to.
    • Select the deal type - Sale or Rental.
    • Select the agent’s role.
  • Step 7: Enter Recipient Information (optional: add a memo) and click Continue.

If the payment recipient does not have the Accept Payment permissions, the page will produce an error.

To resolve the error, click the Update Recipient button to auto-forward this payment to the recipient who has the correct permissions needed to approve the payment. 

  • Step 8: Enter Payment Information.
    • Enter the Payment Amount being sent.
    • Set the Payment Deadline for the recipient to accept by.
    • Choose a Bank Account – the amount indicated above will be withdrawn from this account.
    • Select the account for the $5 DepositLink Service Fee to be deducted from.
  • Step 9: If you are satisfied with your selections, click Send Payment.

Your payment has been emailed to the recipient. You can copy the request link and email or text the link if necessary. You can track payments and download a payment receipt on the Transactions page. 

Once the recipient accepts, if they are a DepositLink account holder, the payment will go directly into a Pending status. If the recipient is not a DepositLink account holder, it will go into Needs Approval, and a send payment admin will have to approve to move the transaction into Pending.

Sending a Commission

For existing deals, skip to Step 3.

  • Step 1: Start on the Deals tab, and click the Send Payments button, then click Pay Agent Commission.
  • Step 2: Search for the agent from your brokerage.
    • Click Add an agent to DepositLink if they need to be added.
    • Once the agent has been selected, either select one of their existing deals to send the payment on or create a new deal.
      • If it’s a new deal, enter the property address.
    • Select the deal type - Sale or Rental.
    • Select your role.
  • Step 3: Payment Information. 
    • Enter the Payment Amount being sent.
    • Set the Payment Deadline for the recipient to accept by.
    • Choose a Bank Account – the amount indicated above will be withdrawn from this account.
    • Select the account for the $5 DepositLink Service Fee to be deducted from.
  • Step 4: If you are satisfied with your selections, click Send Payment.

Your payment has been emailed to the recipient. You can copy the request link to email or text the link if necessary. You will receive an email notification when the payment is Pending. Track payment and download the receipt on the Transactions page.

Transfer Between Accounts

For existing deals, skip to Step 4.

  • Step 1: Start on the Deals tab, and click the Send Payments button, then click Transfer Between Accounts
  • Step 2: Enter the property address related to the payment.
    • If the property address already exists, select that property.
    • If this is for a new deal, select Create New Deal.
  • Step 3: Enter the Deal Information.
    • Select the office this deal is for.
    • Select “I am the agent” or the agent this deal is related to.
    • Select the deal type - Sale or Rental.
    • Select the agent’s role.
  • Step 4: Enter Payment Information.
    • Select the bank account to Transfer Money From.
    • Select the bank account to Transfer Money To
    • Enter the Total Transfer Amount being sent.
    • Select the account for the $1 DepositLink Service Fee to be deducted from.
  • Step 6: If you are satisfied with your selections, click Continue.
  • Step 7: Click Send Payment.
