Common Questions
Do I need to download an app to use DepositLink?
No — DepositLink works entirely in your web browser on desktop, tablet, or mobile. Some brokerages may link to it through their internal systems, but you don’t need a separate download.
Do I have to link my bank account every time I make a payment?
No — once verified, your bank account stays securely linked for future transactions unless you choose to remove it.
What if I entered the wrong payment amount or recipient?
If the payment hasn’t been processed yet, you can cancel the request and create a new one. If it’s already processing, contact your admin or our support team for next steps.
What if my bank doesn’t appear in the list when I connect my account via Plaid?
Some smaller banks or credit unions may require manual verification with GIACT or micro deposits.
How secure is the platform?
We work with Plaid and Dwolla, which use bank-level security in terms of account verification and protection. Your bank information is not stored anywhere on DepositLink’s platform. We also recommend a Multi-Factor Authentication(MFA) setup and strong passwords to secure your DepositLink login.
Who do I contact for help?
Start with your office admin or broker. If they can’t resolve it, use the in-app widget or email our support team.
Micro Deposits
What are micro-deposits?
Micro-deposits are two small test deposits (always under .10¢) sent to your bank account to verify ownership.
Why do I need to verify my account with micro-deposits?
It’s a secure way to confirm you have access to the bank account you're connecting to, especially if you choose not to log in using instant verification.
How long do micro-deposits take to appear?
They typically appear in your bank account within 1–3 business days, depending on your bank.
Where do I find the micro-deposit amounts?
You can find them on your online banking activity or bank statement. Look for two small credits from DepositLink (or its processing partner).
What do I do after I see the micro-deposits?
Log back into DepositLink and enter the exact amounts of the two deposits to verify your account.
Can I skip micro-deposits?
Only if you choose instant verification by logging in through your bank using a secure tool like Plaid. Micro-deposits are only used for manual bank entry.
Are micro-deposits safe?
Yes—micro-deposits are a widely accepted, secure industry practice. They’re small amounts and only used for verification.
Payments
Are credit cards available as a payment type?
No— credit card payments are not currently accepted.
Do I have to pay the $18 fee?
The $18 processing fee is paid by the payer.
How long do payments take to process?
Most payments clear within 1–3 business days. You’ll see status updates in real time inside DepositLink.
What are the payment limits?
Transfers up to $250,000 in a single payment.
Why can’t I send or receive a payment?
This could be due to pending bank verification, payment limits, missing information in your profile, or a missing account configuration. Check your dashboard for any alerts or errors, or contact DepositLink Support.
Will I have proof of payment?
Yes, every deal completed using DepositLink is saved under both the company and the agent who was involved once the payment is completed.
When payments are processed, your bank statement will display a transaction entry that includes an addenda record formatted with the transaction ID and related property address. For example: "ID: 888888 – 444 S 2nd St”.
